Welcome to the 28th Year of F.O.O.D Week
The small committee of nine volunteers continue to promote this region
with all the amazing producers, chefs, cooks, winemakers, butchers, shops
with local produce, cafes, restaurants and all other food, wine and beverage
We have continued our “war on waste” not only looking at the amount of
waste generated through our Sustainable Event Program ISO 20121, but also
are identifying all contributors to our total CO₂e emissions and looking at
ways we can reduce all areas within our event.
The work we are doing within our festival is having a flow-on effect on other
events, as well as involving you the visitor helping us achieve these results.
We hope you take home some ideas and support your local area in the changes that are needed for all of
us to reduce our total carbon foot print. Please help us with what we started in 2017 when we were the
first food and wine event to achieve ISO 20121 accreditation for sustainable events in Australia.
Reduce, recycle and divert from landfill and compost wherever possible!
As our region continues to be reminded every week is food and wine week in Orange, so if you choose
