CALICO Relax & Revise - Off the Beaten Track exploring London’s best kept secrets with Bright World students We take a look at some of the unique opportunities on our Relax and Revise programme that offer students the chance to leave the tourists behind in favour of London’s hidden gems. At Bright World, we know that every student we look after is unique. We also know that international boarding students are a niche group, who have different holiday needs to UK boarders and international students who are in the UK on short study breaks. Bright World’s unique London-based alternative to host family accommodation, Relax & Revise, has grown in popularity in this, our second year of operation. February half term saw a move to a brand new centre in London and with new Activity Leaders, the programme took on some exciting new opportunities for our students. Unique Street Art Tour With a Bachelor’s Degree in the History of Art, Bright World’s Relax and Revise Team Leader Barry can offer Bright World’s students a unique opportunity to learn about London’s art scene. As part of their Relax and Revise excursions, students can explore London’s secret art scene and the quirky museums less often visited by tourists. From Liverpool Street to trendy Shoreditch, Barry’s walking art tour takes students on a journey to discover the work of some of the world’s most famous street artists including Banksy, Ben Eine, Obey and more. The aim of the tour is to open people’s eyes to the street art around London, as well as the historical and political meaning behind the graffiti. It’s a history lesson like no other and it got great feedback from our students.
