Review - it is always helpful if you both
agree to meet again to discuss how the
student is managing. This is an important
part of the process because it allows you
to be certain that the student is getting
support and help and is not sinking deeper
into difficulties. Offering to meet again
also reminds the student that you are
genuinely interested in helping them.
By offering to meet again you are stating
that a process has begun in which you
are taking the student’s need for help
seriously. By making a formal arrangement
you are also able to draw clear time and
Agree a time to meet again and clearly
state what each of you has committed to
do in the meantime.
Record - remember to record the date,
place and outcome of your meetings.
