MSc Advanced Paramedic Practice
This course recognises that advanced paramedic practitioners must demonstrate high-level decision-making and problem-solving
skills in challenging complex clinical situations as part of caring for the population, requiring advanced scholarship to
underpin safe and eective practice.
Minimum academic entry requirements: UK honours degree (or equivalent). Current registration as a paramedic and a minimum
of three years' post-registration experience. Current registration status on the Paramedic Register will be verified with the HCPC
or other relevant body.
English language requirement: IELTS score of 6.0 Accredited (or equivalent)Double accredited
with no element below 5.5.
Modules: Advanced Assessment and Management of Illness and Injury; Developing Advanced Paramedic Practice; Advanced Research Methods;
Masters Dissertation. Optional: Advanced Leadership for Health and Social Care Practitioners; Work-Based Advanced Skills and Innovative
Practices; Non-Medical Prescribing.

Podiatry and Radiography
MSc Diagnostic Imaging
Progress to a career as a researcher, lecturer or in advanced practice. Take existing skills in radiography and diagnostic imaging
and apply them to radiographic image interpretation, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) or medical
ultrasound.
Minimum academic requirement: UK honours degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in Diagnostic Radiography/Imaging with relevant
practical experience. Subject to PVG and/or occupational health checks. Applicants must be a radiographer or sonographer in
their home country.
English language requirement: IELTS overall score of 6.5 (or equivalent) with reading and listening at 6.5 and no other element
below 6.0.
Modules: Advancing Practices in Imaging; Advanced Research Methods; Masters Dissertation; Advanced Leadership for Health and Social Care
Practitioners; Principles of Practice in Medical Ultrasound; Magnetic Resonance Imaging Principles and Practice; Computed Tomography Principles
