Vision science
The only department in the UK that offers the suite of
vision sciences courses: Optometry, Orthoptics and
Ophthalmic Dispensing Management. The degree courses
provide students with hands-on clinical experiences in our
state-of-the-art Vision Centre and have been accredited by
the General Optical Council (GOC) and the Health and
Care Professions Council (HCPC).

At degree level, study how to detect sight problems,
prescribe and fit glasses and contact lenses, and
diagnose and manage eye conditions.
